This project was nearly 4 miles of new construction–bringing power from one substation directly to another facility, replacing the temporary power that had come from a third-party power line.
We faced several challenges including connecting the PME into the substation and the crossing the Union Pacific Railroad and I-20, west of Midland, TX. From obtaining the railroad permit, to communication with TXDOT and numerous agents, this project was difficult for the the simple fact there were so many groups involved. However, despite the hardships, the project was completed on schedule.
